I have been working with clay for over 24 years. My studio, Dilkes-Hoffman Ceramics, is surrounded by beautiful bush just 10 minutes drive from Margaret River in WA. The peacefulness and beauty of the bush around me influence and inspire my work. I enjoy the whole process of producing beautiful objects, from the formation of an idea to designing and then making, glazing, decorating, firing and selling of the finished pieces. I work with Earthenware clay, glazed in bright colors, then decorated with gold and silver lustres. These unique lustres transform the pots into jewelled objects. Alongside the production side of the pottery, I work on unique collectors pieces. These are the cosmic range, ocean windows and bush leaves series. It is exciting to know that my pieces bring beauty and joy into someones home.
