Rockland was founded in 2015 by the unmarried husband and wife team of Jodi Rockwell (she/her) and Shawn Landis (he/him). We began Rockland Residency to share what we have as fellow-artists with an understanding of what artists need to authentically create and add to culture.
Rockland can support independent artists in ALL disciplines (music, writing, visual, performance, film, social practice and more!) All artists are given the opportunity to state their live/work needs prior to arrival, then placed according to the group demand and availability. Most often sleep spaces are private, unless joining Rockland as a collaborative team or there is a need of a separate studio space.
