Process: from inspiration to finished piece. I wanted to reproduce the eroded rock formations at my local beach. Handbuilt coiled pot 45 cm diam., 35 cm high. Dried crushed peanut shells applied mixed in a thick slip. One glaze sprayed on the smooth section, another raku lustre glaze applied thickly on the textured part. Raku fired to 1060C and reduced for 2 hours in shredded paper and dried seaweed.
