If you are selling your work or giving it to someone as a piece of pottery to use you really do need to follow most rules – otherwise it can cause harm, make it uncomfortable to use etc. – e.g. a small little 3D sculpture figure in the bottom of a cup. Stir the cup… Read more

Hi Eve .. I really understand. I too like to know how to do things the right way first. Understanding rules and then playing and breaking with intention can really generate creative thought and I do like happy accidents. Good luck with making something white and useless 😀. A few people I know come into that category.

I have never been a “directions follower” when it comes to art projects. I have always looked at the project, said “oh yeah. I’ve got this”, and then done what I wanted. So rules and boundaries are suggestions to me. I seem to also be the person who speaks up when I see some form of injustice or disrespect or illegal, or immoral thing. It…

Botz and Enhancer
I saw an upcoming Botz and Enhancer workshop scheduled during the 2025 Ceramics Congress, but couldn’t make the live class. I’m trying to find it now, but cannot locate it. Is there a link, or was it canceled?

If you’re a monthly subscriber, do you have access to the various Ceramic Congress’? I thought that’s what it paid for and the other Clay Camps etc were paid on top of that. If not, then what does the monthly subscription actually pay for?

Hi Denise, you get access to all the online individual ceramics workshops, plus free live tickets to the clay camps, and the ceramics congress events, that you can upgrade to include lifetime access to the replays.
