Introduction	I’m Leigh, a hobby potter based in Los Angeles, CA. I started out throwing a few years ago, but took up handbuilding during quarantine. Since my interests are all over the map, my work is, too. I’m having trouble focusing in on one thing at a time and mastering it. But it’s all so fun that I don’t mind being all over the map.
What I Love about Ceramics	I love the combination of creativity and thoughtful planning.
How I started with ceramics	There is a pottery studio around the corner from my apartment. I saw people in classes when stopped at the light and decided I had to try it, too. I was hooked!
What inspires me	What doesn’t. Like I said, I’m all over the map. I could be into nature one day and thinking about art deco style the next.
What I'm working on at the moment	Starting with an idea and executing it, not just going where the clay takes me though sometimes you have to do that. I’m also trying to slab build a squared off vase without the slabs twisting as they dry. (grrr)
