About Me

Introduction

David Earley. B.A. , Cleveland State University, majored in Visual Art

How I started with ceramics

I took ceramics and sculpture courses and worked as a studio assistant at Cleveland State University.  I taught high school art for a short time, then started a functional pottery business also for a short time.

I am restarting pottery as a hobby making Raku ware.

What I'm working on at the moment

I am digging out(literally) my old pottery gear. Kiln bricks have been sinking into the ground behind my house. I’m in the process of setting up a raku kiln and making space in my garage to throw some pots.

I am planning to rebuild a 40 cuft catenary arch kiln I have saved the materials for 35 years.
