Introduction	My name is Julie Taber and my studio is Jules Art Garden. I live in Altadena, CA, USA. I mostly hand-build in my back yard shed. I am very lucky to have my own kiln.
What I Love about Ceramics	I love ceramics because I enjoy building useful and beautiful items for people to use.
How I started with ceramics	I attended art school for college, but didn’t take up ceramics until my 40’s. I started attending ceramics classes once a week with my father. He needed something to do since he was retired.
What inspires me	I live on the side of the San Gabriel mountains and love to garden. I am inspired by the flora I see on my hikes, in my yard, and in local gardens.
What I'm working on at the moment	I am continuing to explore hand-building and add in some wheel throwing. It’s always an adventure with clay.
