Introduction	My name is Lex, I currently live in Kingston, New York where I also own a community ceramics studio called Kingston Ceramics Studio. I make functional pottery and sculpture, and am interested in layering underglaze, decals, glaze, and more to get a sense of depth and time. Colors, textures, images, and process express my mood.
What I Love about Ceramics	You can always learn more and take it in another direction. It is as boundless as we are.
How I started with ceramics	I started 20+ years ago at a studio in Brooklyn, New York: Clayworks on Columbia. My old fav.
What inspires me	Aesthetically: Quilts, Posters, Skylines, Grafitti, Layers Conceptually: Decay, Emotions, Interactions, Memories, Becoming
What I'm working on at the moment	I am always working on my surface using underglaze. Some day, I hope to be satisfied enough to really think about forms more deeply.
