My Ceramics

Introduction	Hello! I’m Laura, a Brooklyn based documentary and digital content director with a background in theater and interior design. I absolutely love making things and always have, specifically functional objects. I sew, knit, and have built many of the light fixtures in my home.
What I Love about Ceramics	Everything! I love the feel of clay in my hands, the ability to scrap and reclaim clay (it’s so forgiving), and the potential in every lump.
How I started with ceramics	Like a lot of folks, I picked up pottery during the initial pandemic shutdown. I was immediately obsessed. It’s funny that it took me so long, because I’ve always loved ceramics and tile work. But better late than never!
What I'm working on at the moment	I dream of being a full time ceramicist and opening a shop. Right now I am working through different iterations of ikebana vases and flower frogs, as well as bottles and trinket bowls.
