My name is Stephanie M Cocchi. I live in a rural area of SouthernJersey about 45 minutes from Philadelphia, PA. Our home faces the Delaware Bay and we have spectacular views every day and night.

My artistic journey began in 2007 while I was recovering from a boating accident and I needed a way to express myself. I’ve always dabbled in art in some form or another but the opportunity arose for me to try stained glass. I took several classes and was hooked on glass, but I wanted to learn more about this medium. What followed was a purchase of a glass kiln and a foray into fused glass jewelry making! I loved the idea of heating a medium to produce unexpected results and clay became the obvious next step.

I bought a Paragon electric digital kiln and have not looked back! I started handbuilding and the purchase of a slab roller was a game-changer! My husband Robert who is always so supportive of my efforts ( he’s tirelessly assisted me at many vendor events). When the pandemic started, remodeled a section of our pole-barn into my adorable studio!

I’m currently taking wheel-throwing with a master potter and hope to advance my handbuilding
