Introduction |
My name is Lori McMillian. I live in Redmond, Oregon. I have been a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years. I started doing pottery in January of 2021 as a way to escape the stress of the medical field I work in every day. I fell in love! I bought a wheel, a kiln and now have my own little studio in an extra room off of out garage. I am very interested in one day being good enough to sell some beautiful stuff!

What I Love about Ceramics |
The ability to just create! That every piece is different in it’s own unique way. I love being able to put colors together to make something personal and ideal for the one person it can be intended for

How I started with ceramics |
My good friend had me come to her house one winter day to “de-stress”. Sat at her wheel and instantly I wanted one for myself!

What I'm working on at the moment |
Perfecting mugs, bowls. Learning to pull a tall cylinder to make a vase. Learning to then squash clay out to flatten to make a plate.
