Introduction |
I am Pakistani-born American artist and a mother of four living in Ellicott City,Maryland. I have been creating art for the last 20 years and has donated my paintings to many non-profit organizations. I first crossed paths with clay after losing my mom a decade ago as a way to cope and heal. Ever since I have been holding on to it and it has become her main medium of choice. Over the years I have worked towards building my skills and now I am student of MFA in ceramics at Hood college, Maryland. I also likes to conduct paint nights for several non-profit communities in the area.

My Artist Statement |
Inspiration for my work comes from my homeland and its surrounding countries with its rich history of beautiful architecture, textile, and pottery which is skinned with geometrical patterns, arabesques, and calligraphy. My work portrays a sense of balance and harmony, each piece makes the viewer’s eyes travel from one line to another with a smooth transition leaving a sense of tranquility.
