Juried Cup Show

Our much-anticipated annual cup show will return in January 2023! I’m putting together a stellar list of invited artists, including Osa Atoe, Ha Austin (pictured), Kristina Batiste, Adriana Christianson, Carole Epp, Michelle Ettrick, Jennifer Fujimoto, Lindsey Heiden, Kyle Lee, Anika Major, CJ Niehaus, Lora Rust, Dwayne Sackey–and the list continues to grow!

I am also excited for the juried portion of this show! It is so delightful to reconnect with favorite artists and discover new ones.

My goal as a gallerist is to make these show opportunities as accessible as possible, so there is no jury fee, and if your cup doesn’t sell, I will pay for the return shipping.

This is our 13th Annual Winter Warmers Benefit.
5% of all cup sales in January will be donated to the Bellingham Opportunity Council’s hot meals program, Maple Alley Inn. It’s an all-around feel-good kind of show for artists and buyers and gallery folk alike.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

• Open to artists from the United States and Canada
• No Jury Fee
• Gallery pays for return shipping of unsold work
• Artist receives 55% of retail price for items sold
• Gallery will donate 5% of show sales to feed our neighbors in need at Maple Alley Inn

What sort of cup qualifies?

The kind you can drink from! It may have a handle, it may not. It may be tiny, it may be jumbo. It may be a stemmed goblet, it may be a cup with a saucer, it may be sculptural. It must be a functional.

Deadline to Apply: october 1, 2022

Jury Notification by October 18th
Accepted work to arrive at the gallery by November 1st
Show Dates: January 1st-31st
Show will be online and in-person.

How to Apply

You may submit up to 3 original handmade ceramic cup entries for this show

• Work must be for sale.
• Entries must be individually priced cups–no sets. (Cup and saucer sets are okay, though!)
• Quality
  matters. This is your time to shine–please inspect your work carefully
  for cracks, chips, extreme warpage, glaze flaws, stuck-on kiln wash,
  sharp bits and poor handle attachment. The gallery reserves the right to
  exclude work from the show that arrives with any of these issues or
  others not discernible in application photographs.
• Work sent to gallery must be the same work accepted from the application. Substitutions will be disqualified.
