“I have an Artista electric wheel, but learned on a kick wheel. Darling hubby made me a treadle throwing wheel since I have replaced knees and a kick wheel wouldn’t be comfortable. I also am a fiber artist and have 12 different sewing machines, including a treadle, so this is a combo of my 2 art worlds.

Recycled/left over treadle base, parts from an unsafe old metal electric wheel, scrap Corian. The only things we bought were a pulley wheel, a few bearings and the catch basin and that’s only because I wanted one that was easier to clean and it was on clearance as well. The left over aluminum from the wheel will go to the metal recycler.”
