About Me

Introduction	RAAQUU is a ceramic art brand founded by ceramic artist Adil Ghani in 2020. Inspired by nature and fueled by a love of the arts, RAAQUU intends to make the magical world of Raku ceramics more accessible to ceramic lovers all over the world. RAAQUU is a name play on the core firing technique used in the making of all our products ; Raku.
What I Love about Ceramics	The sheer open possibilities of clay work in endless!
How I started with ceramics	Almost 15 years ago, I was enamored with Raku pottery while undergoing a ceramics training program in Japan. I then made the decision to hone my expertise in all things Raku and the result of that decision led to the birth of RAAQUU.
What inspires me	My inspiration is driven by many sources ; nature, my collectors and the transient nature of the raku firing technique. Every day brings a new surprise!
What I'm working on at the moment	Currently I am working on expanding my collection to larger vases, experimental techniques with raku firing and also producing more ceramic work in raku fired finishes.
My Artist Statement	My work is focused around the raku firing technique on earthenware. I started the RAAQUU brand in 2020 after more than 15 years of ceramic craftmanship and hope to increase the awareness of raku fired pottery globally.
