My Ceramics

In the studio I like to do	Handbuilding
Pottery Wheel	I am taking classes in a studio I am a beginner, Not sure of the wheel I am using, although I think it is from Germany.
Clay body	Earthenware, Stoneware
Clay Brand	I get it from the instructor

Temperature	cone 6
Glaze	I am a beginner in all aspects of working with clay.

Introduction	My name is Franny. I live outside of Charlottesville Va, I am originally from Southern California .I just took a couple of lessons and joined a local pottery studio. I am a bit of a slow learner. I am really enjoying working with clay. I am interested in hand building pottery as well as wheel work.
What I Love about Ceramics	I love the feel of the clay, and learning new things. I just retired and it was the first item on my bucket list.
How I started with ceramics	I took some ceramics almost 50 years ago in school. Although I was never very good at it , I loved doing it, . I worked. mostly on the wheel. I have seen the beautiful work the hand builders have been doing and want to learn.
What inspires me	I love learning new things. As a beginner I am inspired by all the beautiful work.
What I'm working on at the moment	I have a made one cup after watching u-tube videos.
