About Me
Introduction | My name in Raylene, from San Diego CA and I have been from New Mexico, Tucson Arizona, Los Angeles and briefly Champlin Minnesota. I’m very passionate about ceramics and plan on becoming an online ceramic business person. |
What I Love about Ceramics | Everything!!!!!! |
How I started with ceramics | Back in the years of living in Arizona I was taking lapidary classes, jewelry Silversmith classes and wanted to add making clay beads to my jewelry making experience so I signed up for a ceramic class at the Randolph center and the Udall Center and ended up falling in love. I love the whole ceramic thing! I am in love with pottery. |
What inspires me | Other potters, so many talented artists and creative people out there! I am inspired by the studio owners that make a living in the ceramic world, the potters that create on-line pages, my instructors and the works by Vincent Garcia, Simon Leach and others I’ve seen at the first for me, the Ceramic Congress of 2020 |
What I'm working on at the moment | Putting together a home studio and on-line site, offering an array of functional pottery. |
My Artist Statement | Raylene Creates! |
My CV | I have not gotten that far, yet, with my ceramic work. Keeping fingers crossed |
