How to save time – Instagram for Potters
Automation is a big scary word, but it’s nothing complicated.
There are two types of automation that can happen on Instagram, there’s automatically scheduling your posts, and also robots that can like, comment and follow people for you. So first of all, we will be discussing scheduling your posts.
Scheduling your posts means that you can take several photos or videos one day, and set them up in your calendar to post automatically throughout the week.
It doesn’t mean that everything you do will be automated – you can still use Instagram like you normally would, to share your moments spontaneously and organically. But it does mean that you have less pressure in remembering to post consistently throughout the day.
It frees up so much time during the week as well. What we like to do is have an “Instagram Sunday” where you produce all of your content for the week, and then set up scheduled posts to post regularly all throughout the week.
What would be even better, is if you spent a day at the end of the month, and scheduled 30 posts to go out every day for the next month.
Consistent posting generates anticipation and expectation within your viewers. So they are keen to see what you will be posting next, and they expect to see your posts – so for them, it turns into some kind of ritual, some kind of habit. And that is key to building up a following.
