Rowan Harrison, from the Pueblo of Isleta’s community, will be teaching us American Indian pottery. He will provide a brief history of the art form and its uses in traditional and modern times. He will also demonstrate hand-coiled pottery, which includes all the stages of development from the beginning to the final painted piece. Attendees will build a complete pottery form using all aspects of the hand coiling and hand building techniques as used in traditional Native American Pottery.
