Luciana Thomaz – Watercolor in Pottery

In this workshop I will be teaching how to apply the Watercolor techniques in ceramic surface, which is great because materials can be adapted, with the correct amount of water, and type of clay. In this presentation I am going to show the right brushstrokes to create drawings, using glazes, stains or underglazes.

Workshop Steps

In this workshop we will be doing the following:

Step 1: a brief presentation about the watercolor and the best materials and tools;
Step 2: show how to transfer a drawing to the bisque;
Step 3: preparing the stains (glazes or underglazes) and how to apply them;
Step 4: how to fillet; Step 5: glazing;

Workshop Results / Benefits

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to adapt the materials that you already have and make the watercolor happen, applying the technique in any piece you wish.
