Step 1: Prepare Your Clay

Take some air-dry clay and knead it gently until itโ€™s soft and ready to shape. Cover your workspace with parchment paper to keep it clean.

Step 2: Make the Body

Roll out the clay and cut out a circle using a round cookie cutter or a cup. Gently fold or roll the circle into a cone shape for the angelโ€™s body. Smooth the edges with your fingers so the cone stays together.

Step 3: Create the Wings

Cut out a heart shape from the rolled-out clay. This will be the angelโ€™s wings. Attach the heart to the back of the body by gently pressing it in place. If needed, use a bit of water to help it stick.

Step 4: Shape the Head

Roll a small piece of clay into a ball for the angelโ€™s head. Use a toothpick or skewer to poke a hole through the center of the ball. This hole will be for the string later.

Step 5: Add Hair and Halo (Optional)

For hair, roll tiny bits of clay into thin strips or make little curls and press them onto the head. If youโ€™d like to add a halo, shape a small piece of wire into a circle and attach it to the back of the head.

Step 6: Add Feet

Once the angelโ€™s body and head are complete, poke a hole through the top of the cone (the body). After the clay dries, youโ€™ll thread a string through this hole and the head, leaving enough space to attach two beads at the bottom for feet.

Step 7: Let Everything Dry

Place all your pieces on a flat surface and let them dry completely. This usually takes 24โ€“48 hours, depending on the clay.

Step 8: Paint Your Angel

Once dry, paint your angel with acrylic paints. Use white or gold for the body, add details like rosy cheeks for the face, and make the wings sparkle with gold paint. Let the paint dry.

Step 9: Assemble Your Angel

Thread a string through the body and head, tying a knot at the top to create a loop for hanging. Slide two small beads onto the string at the bottom to create the angelโ€™s feet, and knot the string to keep them in place.

And there you have itโ€”a lovely Christmas angel ready to hang on your tree or give as a gift! ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ‘ผ
