A long-term potter now nearly 80, living to pot rather than the opposite. I muddle along happily, selling as and when. People enjoy the pots: ‘earthy ….. looks like it’s always existed …. gritty textures …. muted colours’. I like work to be at least semi-functional so many pieces are designed for flowers/twigs/plants.

There’s always been somewhere to make and fire: a cellar (very damp); a greenhouse (unbearably hot, too dry); a garage (perfect though cold); now a garden shed so the pots and I can move seamlessly between inside and out.

Am looking for new inspiration recently – hence joining this group.
