Hi, happy new year. At the moment, I’m trying to figure out why my first glaze fire didn’t come out as expected. I’m a beginner with my kiln. I did a cone 6 firing, and I think the clay or the clear glaze weren’t or cone 6, so some of the pieces came out entirely black, and some of the clear glazes ran to the shelves, making me lose one shelve that I couldn’t save. I just ordered some cone 06 clear glaze to try that. Note to me, and I need to keep a log with the glazes and clay body I use before firing. If you have any advice, I’ll appreciate it.
