Hello fellow Potters,

I hope I can ask this without offending any of you but I hope to get some answers. I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and it is clear that I need a Mastectomy. I am thinking of having a latismus dorsi reconstruction at the same time but I am worried about my throwing and pottery abilities after everything is healed. I know the healing might take 6-8 weeks before I can start to strengthen the muscles again but I wonder if there is any issue with this op and Pottery.

Maybe one of you already went through this and can give me some insight on how it went.
