I’ve been using Pottery Notes to record my makes and glazes. I actually loved it. However, I just lost all my records because I forgot the app does not back up to the cloud and I mistakenly deleted the app (to fix a problem) and reinstalled it. By doing so I lost all my data. We have a notes feature here that is backed up daily and you can use it on desktop or our mobile app. https://ceramic.school/notes – you can also add your own ingredients and glaze recipes to tag to your notes. Hi everyone. I unloaded my kiln yesterday and 4 small mugs came out beautifully, but I then had glaze “bubbles” pop at the connection of the handle on 3 of the 4. I’m no expert on this, but I’ve followed many pottery sites and the most common response to fix bubbles it to refire the piece at one cone lower than the original fire. That will allow the glaze to flow again, and allow the bubbles to heal over.

A long-term potter now nearly 80, living to pot rather than the opposite. I muddle along happily, selling as and when. People enjoy the pots: ‘earthy ….. looks like it’s always existed …. gritty textures …. muted colours’. I like work to be at least semi-functional so many pieces are designed for flowers/twigs/plants.
