I’m Myles Yamada from Southern California.

I make high fire pottery in an electric Paragon Dragon 24. I rebuilt this kiln after the previous owner fired it too high. I installed new refractory materials and elements and rebuilt the exterior.

I treat everything in pottery as an experiment so this is my adult AP chemistry class. I’m currently working with glaze development. l found a good matte white for surfaces but tinting it with colorants is proving to be a challenge.

I typically make functional ware but sometimes make art pieces.
