Doing some mug production and bud vases (making items for holiday markets,) and using it as an opportunity to 1. practice new-to-me forms, and 2. work on some glazes for my ever expanding glaze library, because, well, if you’re like me, you can never have too many glazes!!! I am playing with a magnesium float glaze formula by Joe Thompson (Old Forge- he has some really nice floats) and I am liking the way is screams caramel, fall, flat white, affogato (gelato and espresso melting together.) It just feels really seasonally appropriate! So I put it on some dainty porcelain mugs for the inn, and am thinking it might make some pretty apple ornaments. Totally a tangent from my pondscape vessel project, but I am at least inspired by the glaze colors and seasonal connectedness.
