…
Architect and Visual Artist, I was passionate very early by the relationship between function and form, volume, materials, colors and light. 3D spatial modeling and video’s editing quickly appeared to me as a valuable tools that open-up powerful perspectives. Thus, I was strongly attracted by the idea of a specialization in Computer Graphics and Multimedia, which I followed with the School of Plastic Arts of Paris in France (EAP) and which I finalized in 2006 by my Diploma with the “Very Well” mention. As an Architect & Designer, my preoccupation for materials, shapes and functionality of the space pushed me towards the Interior Design and to create myself the Furniture Design became essential . I pushed my passion further and in 2015 I finalized my Doctorate Degree in Architecture with an Interior Aeronautic Design subject. As a graphic designer, illustration and packaging are my favorite fields.
I like to share my knowledge whith other passionate people and in September 2007 I joined the University of Architecture and Urban Planning lon Mincu of Bucharest (UAUIM) where I taught until March 2016.

Arrived in New Zealand in April 2016, I have been working to fulfill my dream: dedicate my entire energy and be a full-time visual artist.

In 2021 I moved in Austria where I’m following my dream.

All this years sculpture was a very dear field for me … which I have been trying to avoid thinking of how difficult it is to move sculptures from one place to the other (France, Romania, New Zealand, Austria) and also … moving and  adapting  a kiln …

Tree-for years ago, when I was still in New Zealand, my paintings have become more and more in 3D , the shapes have expanded in the exterior of the canvas and I’ve realized that it will be impossible for me to ignore longer the important connection with the sculpture, the glazing and the Ceramic Art … I will not abandon my work with resin and my 3D Mixed Media Paintings … but I’ve realized that I want to Study more and “fill the gaps“ learning all I can about Glazing and Ceramic Art.

That will help me to reach a new finish for my sculptures.

What I Love about Ceramics

What I love about sculpture and ceramics … is the physical and mental connection, … the dialogue with the clay …

Sometimes I have no idea when I’m beginning the work what it will be at the end … and listening the clay … the shapes are beginning to develop …

How I started with ceramics

How I started with ceramics and sculpture?

From a very young age I was dreaming to become a visual artist, … and to follow from the beginning the artistic path …

In 1980 the situation in Romania was not at all good for anybody … and even worse for the artists … so, I chose the closest path possible … following the Architecture…

Arrived in France in 2000 I was so happy to make my first specialization in Sculpture in the « les Ateliers Terre&Feu » « Glaze&Fire »

It was the first time when I felt so so happy during my work in my life … It was better then  painting or drawing … or building architectural plans … In 2002, after finishing my Master Degree in Architecture , my Artistic Journey has began at « École de Beaux-Arts de Versailles »  There I followed my  passion and learn more about sculpture and modeling. It was always a fight with mentality and judgment and I’ve migrated between Art and Architecture until I felt that I’m ready to step out of the comfort zone and embrace truly my love for Art … in 2016 when I left Europe for 5 years . Being so far away in New Zealand I think that has helped a lot … I’ve followed my heart and in time I’ve met Linda Barbour, a wonderful gifted ceramist artist. She was so kind to show me the basics in Glazing … In her Studio, I’ve made my first Ceramic Bowl … Now in Austria, I’m trying to find a ceramic artist, English  speaker !!!, and willing to teach me more about Glazing and ceramics .

What inspires me

What inspires me?

I really like the light and the shadows created on different shapes, textures and objects …

I’m inspired by … light,  shapes, people, physiognomy … , shapes of animals and plants and movements …

I’m very attached at Art Nouveau Style. The most impressive architect & artist … for me is Antoni Gaudi.

What I'm working on at the moment
