About Me

Introduction

My name is Camelia Smith and I love being creative.

What I Love about Ceramics

I love ceramics because it’s such a hands on activity and at the end of the process if all goes well you have created a very unique piece even if inspired by others.

How I started with ceramics

I started my ceramic journey some time ago as a hobby that has stuck with me and can’t see me not creating something in this medium.

What inspires me

I’m inspired by everyday objects and the usefulness of the wares. The beauty in the form and luscious glazes.

What I'm working on at the moment

At the moment I’m working on table wares.

My Artist Statement

My body of works is eclectic as I love different aspects of this medium. I predominately make table wares and tea pots along side sculpture pieces and painting in watercolour.

My CV

I have taken part of a couple of local pottery stalls that have been very successful.
