| Introduction |
Astrophysicist and radio astronomer by profession. Pottery is a hobby that allows me to step back from the tech world. In 2025, I opened Rugged Earth Ceramics, entering the world of sharing my love for ceramics with art and fine craft lovers. Yet still, I consider myself an artist focusing on one of a kind items and lovingly made low-volume (in terms of numbers) utalitarian vessels for home rather than being a production potter. I am also fascinated by historical pottery, wild clays and materials, and wood fueled firings.

| How I started with ceramics |
Quite randomly stumbled on ceramics classes. Tried and got sucked in. Now I can’t imagine not doing it.
