Hi everyone. I unloaded my kiln yesterday and 4 small mugs came out beautifully, but I then had glaze “bubbles” pop at the connection of the handle on 3 of the 4. I used Mayco Black Walnut under Winterwood (which moves), with a very thin/light application of Light Flux just on the rims. I was surprised at the movement (2175 for 5 mins, 1900…

I’m no expert on this, but I’ve followed many pottery sites and the most common response to fix bubbles it to refire the piece at one cone lower than the original fire. That will allow the glaze to flow again, and allow the bubbles to heal over.
