About Me
| Introduction | Hi, my name is Anette, I’m originally from Sweden. My interests include history, research, colors, forms, design, individual expression, cultures and languages. |
| What I Love about Ceramics | I really enjoy the process of creating ceramics, from the research and initial concept, through to production and glazing. |
| How I started with ceramics | As a child I had a wonderful ceramics teacher that got me interested in clay, I dabbled in it again in college, but didn’t get serious about it until a few years ago when I joined a Makerspace, and really got a chance to use the skills I have gained as a graphic designer in a more three dimensional space.
|
| What inspires me | I’m inspired by cultures, history, animals, family, friends, nature, lessons and challenges. |
| What I'm working on at the moment | I’ve been playing along with the Great Pottery Showdown challenges. |
| My Artist Statement | I aspire to keep learning, and in the process create beautiful and sometimes useful work. So far I have made anything from shot glasses, cups, mugs, plates, bowls, jars, goblets, vases, decorative items, jewelry and sculptures. |
| My CV | Received first place blue ribbons and medal from the Dallas Texas State Fair for raku pieces, mixed underglaze/glaze and a cup project. |
