Hello! My name is Brittany Waters Dechter. I am a Californian ceramic artist living in Long Beach, CA. I am inspired by nature and often try to include elements of the natural world into my artwork. I enjoy sculpting sea creatures and crystals and flowers. I am still learning and growing as an artist.

| What I Love about Ceramics |
I love the ability to create objects in the real world, to pull an image from my mind and make it real. I love the feeling of clay on my hands and under my nails. I can get lost for hours in the detail and texture of a piece.

I started ceramics in high school and fell in love with sculpture and clay.

How comforting that every object I make out of clay will outlast and outlive me by hundreds of years. I will never be the last hand that touches my creations.
