About Me
| Introduction | Hi I’m Cajuga which is the short form of Carolyn June Gates and I live in Cologne, Germany. I’m an Art teacher, working in many techniques but for my self I like to work on the potters wheel and to hand-/slab build. I joined to share in a worldwide pottery community and to inspire and  be inspired by other artists. |
| What I Love about Ceramics | I love ceramics because you can build almost anything out of this fascinating material. At the same time it is a huge challenge, frustration and bliss are very close to each other in the process. Clay is a master in teaching you perseverance. |
| How I started with ceramics | I actually started with ceramics in 1988 as an exchange student in Charleston SC. But back in Germany I chose to follow a different path, until I got my hands back on the potters wheel in 2015 and fell in love again. Since then I expand my skill, frustration level and profession. |

| My Artist Statement | Just like a good song, Art is the language of the heart… what I show you is never what I show you but something else instead It captures the thing that escapes me and yet I live from it What I show you isn’t necessarily what I show you but it captures what I mean which I could not just say to you in mere words |
