About Me
| Introduction | I’m Claudia from Poland. |
| What I Love about Ceramics | I love that i can make whatever i can imagine. |
| How I started with ceramics | My ceramic journey started with binge watching Youtube potters. I was working in a shop, where I had a lot of time to spare, so that i just consumed all ceramic knowledge, that I could possibly find. Although I was dreaming about sculpting in clay since my childhood. As a 10 year old I attended drawing classes where I could see clay sculptures of older kids. That’s when my dreams were born… But they had to wait over 20 years to come true. So anyway, after devauring a ton of videos I decided to give it a try and found a small ceramist nearby and went there for one time class….And I fell in love. Then it just spireled to where I am now – after two and a half years I have my own small business and spend days in my small ceramic studio in the basement, making my ugly-beautiful ceramic pieces. |
| What inspires me | I’m inspired by fantasy and horror stories. H.P. Lovecraft mythos take a huge part in my ceramics. Also im a gamer, so i sculpt or make mugs with monsters from video games. |
| What I'm working on at the moment | I just try to manage my work time, because more and more people want to buy my work, and I only have two hands! I’d like to find some ways to speed up the process, but without loosing on the unique factor. |
| My Artist Statement | Not gonna lie – I’m a maximalist so my work is also full of details and as realistic as it can be. Sometimes it is a pain because I just dont know where to stop, but at the end the result is rewarding as hell. |
