About Me
| Introduction | There is something about clay that has always felt natural to me, and when I took my first ceramics class back in community college, I never thought I’d be pursuing it at first as a hobby, then as a major at an art school in Boston, and now as a business here in New Jersey. My style has definitely changed quite a bit over the years, and I know that ceramics is something I’ll always want to do. I enjoy reading about the different styles and forms pottery has taken over the ages and love incorporating these ideas in my modern functional ware. |
| What I Love about Ceramics | I love the versatility of clay and the fact that it can be so useful. I enjoy making functional ware and love the thought of it being in other people’s homes. |
| How I started with ceramics | I first took a ceramic sculpture class in community college and was more or less hooked after that. I persued it as a major in college, and now its my business. |
| What inspires me | I’m inspired by nature as so many others are, as well as my love for Islam. |
| What I'm working on at the moment | Right now I’m working on making pieces for an upcoming show and a small commission. |
| My Artist Statement | There is something about clay that has always felt natural to me, and when I took my first ceramics class back in community college, I never thought I’d be pursuing it at first as a hobby, then as a major at an art school in Boston, and now as a business here in New Jersey.
