About Me

Introduction

I´m Fernanda Nagler, I was born in Brazil, but I live in Germany for 40 Years.

I´m interested in what happens in ceramic nowadays.

What I Love about Ceramics

Ceramic has developed all over the world and is the basis and connection of all peoples and cultures.

How I started with ceramics

The art of ceramics opened up to me in Lower Bavaria, first in the Deggendorf ceramics
group and since 2006 with my own studio in the Herr Keramik Manufaktur in Bogen,
where the large kilns set no limits to the possibilities of ceramic work.

What inspires me

The warmth of my homeland Brazil is appears in my ceramics.

What I'm working on at the moment

I make Wall Objects in Paperclay and Handmade Potters and Sculptures.

My Artist Statement

My works are simple and reduced to the essentials.

The Focus ins on wall objects.

My special passion for patterns is visible in relief surfaces.

I love the earthy black-brown tones of engobe and archaic forms.
