    Learned how to throw a cylinder today and I struggled haha I find throwing bowls much easier. I still played around with the clay even though I ruined the cylinder to see what it can do/what shapes it could be molded into before recycling it. My goal is to throw a regular and belly mug next week with a handle.

    I read the DIY pottery wheel blog here and strongly wanted to make one, but after careful consideration, I realized I don’t trust myself to make one haha 😅 Still looking around for a used wheel, but still saving up for a new one if I cannot find a used one in my area.

    So, we decided to redo our laundry room to include a sink with a sink trap, and I am in the process of setting up a lil throwing and small hand building corner in the garage. Trying to plan with the space we have!

    Just finished my first throwing course and it was rough, but fun to say the least. Centering is the part I struggle with the most, but I’m not afraid to keep going and learn from my mistakes!     Starting my first ceramics throwing course tomorrow and I am both excited and nervous. Learning during this pandemic has proven to be difficult, so I am saving up to buy my own pottery wheel.
