About Me
Introduction | I’m Reggie Pointer Ceramics instructor and studio potter. Interested in working with clay on all levels wheel, hand, & molds. |
What I Love about Ceramics | I love the freedom clay affords me in making functional and non-functional things. Clay allows me to play on many levels. From games to music an beyond. |
How I started with ceramics | Trained to work with clay at Howard University & Florida State University. I’ve also taken workshops at Penland School of Crafts. |
What inspires me | Collaborative work, nature, social issues, and need for that specific vessel to eat or drink from. |
What I'm working on at the moment | Drums and whistles. |
My Artist Statement | Potter, printmaker, and educator. The two main series I work with involve coming together ( Eye 2 eye, & Face2 face)Â and the success or challenges that these endeavors produce. |
