About Me
| Introduction | Hello, my name is Mateja. After 20 years in economics and marketing it was time to start creating. Self employed, part time potter, part time digital marketing manager. Full time mom 🙂 Located in Croatia. Fluent in 4 languages (English, German, Italian, Croatian). Making pottery for a Year now. I recently managed to get me a used wheel that needs some touch up. Not sure if I’m more happy about the fact that I will repair it with my hands or that I will final get the chance to practice more. 🙂 |
| What I Love about Ceramics | The process of creating, feeling the clay, endless possibilities and tradition. |
| How I started with ceramics | I always looked at process of creating ceramics with admiration. From when I was little it fascinated me. After finishing all the schools required for me to have a “good life” and working full time for 20 Years, behind the computer I realized that my life can be better. Occupied with work and family I lost me. So I decided to find me back. First try was to buy a motorcycle that I used to ride in my 20’s. Well that didn’t work. And then I remembered that there is one thing I always wanted to try and I started attending Ceramic school in Zagreb, as a hobby. From the first moment I touched clay it was clear to me that this is what I wanna do. |
