| What I Love about Ceramics |
I love working with clay, exploring new shapes, textures, and surfaces.
|
| How I started with ceramics |
I started working with clay in my early twenties, took a break for a number of years and restarted at age 35. Did a weekly class for 12yrs. Shared a studio with a friend, and then my mentor gave me a bit of a push and I purchased my first kiln and transformed my garage into a small studio space.

| What inspires me |
Many other potters inspire me, as well as organic forms, water and Japanese Anime Monsters.
|
| What I'm working on at the moment |
Currently I’m working on a number of pots for bonsai as well as pots for an upcoming succulent show.
|
| My Artist Statement |
My work is primarily in mid fire clay and glazes. I am drawn to organic forms and textures, water and it’s flow, as well as Japaneese Anime Monsters. My work has a bit of humor to it, specifically the pots I make for succulents. I am a nontraditional bonsai potter. I make kusamono pots as well.
