| Introduction |
I am Ute Fischer from close to Berlin. I am a member of a pottery club of about forty women who manage their own pottery studio with plenty of workspace, a glazing room with more than 40 (10ltr-) pots of glaze and two kilns which are fully loaded three times a week.

| What I Love about Ceramics |
I really enjoy experimenting with clay and porcelain, I like to slip-casting very fine translucent objects in porcelain but also to handbuild heavy load for pit firing, I cut kurinuki objects from leatherhard clay as well as I form rings in nerikomi technique.

| How I started with ceramics |
I already worked with clay as teen, but now I really get into it.
|
| What inspires me |
I get a lot of inspirations – in Corona times – by pinterest and instagram. I like the pottery market in Potsdam and hope to be on the Oldenburg Pottery Festival this year.
|
| What I'm working on at the moment |
In the moment I am preparing big burnished objects for my annual pit firing in the countryside.
My next project is creating porcelain vases in Ikebana style.
And then I plan to do some exercising in throwing. Our pottery club even offers a throwing unit. But most of us handbuild their clay objects.
