Introduction |
I’m a cermaic hobbyist who lives in the Pacific Northwest (Washington state). I prefer to hand build. While I appreciate a beautifully constructed and glazed mug or bowl, I’m drawn to and inspired by clay art that is more sculptural and often lacking in function except to be decorative.

What I Love about Ceramics |
What I love about ceramics is the messiness of it and, at this point in my journey, the unpredictable nature of clay and glaze. I love the surprise of what the glazes do. And the uncertainty of whether what I build will make it out of the kiln in one piece.
|
How I started with ceramics |
I had my first experience in ceramics in highschool. But, some 20ish years later, I took a few classes at a local studio and have rekindled my interest.
|
What inspires me |
I’m inspired by … nature and organic shapes, ceramic artists, and the potential of what the clay can become.

What I'm working on at the moment |
I’m not currently working on anything, unfortunately. I’m looking for a studio to work out of.
