Introduction	I’m a cermaic hobbyist who lives in the Pacific Northwest (Washington state). I prefer to hand build. While I appreciate a beautifully constructed and glazed mug or bowl, I’m drawn to and inspired by clay art that is more sculptural and often lacking in function except to be decorative.
What I Love about Ceramics	What I love about ceramics is the messiness of it and, at this point in my journey, the unpredictable nature of clay and glaze. I love the surprise of what the glazes do. And the uncertainty of whether what I build will make it out of the kiln in one piece.
How I started with ceramics	I had my first experience in ceramics in highschool. But, some 20ish years later, I took a few classes at a local studio and have rekindled my interest.
What inspires me	I’m inspired by … nature and organic shapes, ceramic artists, and the potential of what the clay can become.
What I'm working on at the moment	I’m not currently working on anything, unfortunately. I’m looking for a studio to work out of.
