About Me

Introduction

I fell in love with ceramics at the age of six, but wasn’t able to actually sit at a wheel and take a class until I was 55. I especially love throwing porcelain and am intrigued by how the light moves through it. I’m interested in learning how to apply natural textures to thrown pieces and expanding my throwing skills. I have my built my own studio at home with an L&L E23T3 kiln and Brent CXC wheel. I have a very relaxed and creative attitude towards my ceramics and love to play with glazes. I really enjoy how limitless ceramics is as an artistic medium.

What I Love about Ceramics

I really enjoy how limitless ceramics is as an artistic medium.

How I started with ceramics

I fell in love with ceramics at the age of six, but wasn’t able to actually sit at a wheel and take a class until I was 55.

What inspires me

I especially love throwing porcelain and am intrigued by how the light moves through it. I’m interested in learning how to apply natural textures to thrown pieces and expanding my throwing skills.

What I'm working on at the moment

I’m always doing custom work for family gifts. I enjoy carving and drawing/painting with underglazes. I adore Diamond Core Tools carving tools. They create very smooth fine lines and are very easy to use.
