My Ceramics

Introduction	I’m a hobby potter, doing courses at my local college made me catch the clay bug and I wanted to take things to the next level. I’m gradually building up stock and want to sell mostly small animal and fantasy sculptures and decorated plates. I love working with clay I’m naturally curiously creative with paint and illustration anyway but clay seems the one thing in really fully immersed with and it fills my soul.
What I Love about Ceramics	Just how mindful, malleable and meditative the process is as well as the surprise of what comes out of the kiln!
How I started with ceramics	I always messed with clay here and there but finally after the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions were lifted I enrolled on a beginner’s course in 2022 and havent looked back
What inspires me	Ancient pottery particularly Egyptian and South American but also nature and mythology
What I'm working on at the moment	A Crank gargoyle is in progress Two painted plates and some gnomes

In the studio I like to do	Handbuilding, Sculpting, Everything to do with Ceramics
