About Me
Introduction | My name is Magda and I’m from Poland. I am a beginner in ceramics. I joined the workshops almost a year ago. I’ve been learning throwing on a pottery wheel which I love the most. Earlier I’ve been on handbuilding workshops few times but that was just for fun. Now I am throwing in my friends studio and also I fire my works there. I love ceramics and I want to have my own studio in the future. Still looking for my own style. I love to learn and get the knowledge about ceramics in general. I would lik to learn the various techniques of handbuilding and glazing. I make useful ceramics. I also want to try the sculpture some day 🙂 . |
What I Love about Ceramics | I love throwing on a pottery wheel. For me its like a meditation. What I felt while learning to throw… That Its a mirror of our personality and character. I love to touch the clay. You can do with clay whatever your imagination tells you and wherever your fingers will follow you. I also love carving in ceramics. |
How I started with ceramics | I ve been on a Christmas ceramic workshops 2 years ago. It was just for fun. And I was joining these workshops 2 times in a year. And I liked it so much so I’ve been looking for someone who could taught me throwing on a pottery wheel. And I found my friend who taught me the basics. That’s how I started to develop my skills at ceramics. I am still learning ????. |
What inspires me | I’m mostly inspired by nature, different shapes in architecture. I am still. Looking for my own style. |
What I'm working on at the moment | I’m working on evolving my skills and knowledge about the techniques. I would like to try sculpture. Though first I want to open up more with my imagination and have some more courage to open up my head and let it follow me with building with clay. |
