Introduction |
My name is Samantha and I have loved ceramics since High School! I took ceramics all four years of High School as an elective and got fairly good at the wheel before graduation. I took a 13-year break, and now I’m back at going to a local ceramic studio on the weekends to sharpen my throwing skills and get back into pottery again. I have a full-time job as a corporate trainer, but I would love for pottery to eventually be a side business that I work on in my spare time (more because I just love making things and I don’t have the room to keep them all!)

What I Love about Ceramics |
I love how I can get lost in the clay. How I can take something so raw, and manipulate it to become something beautiful. You can always keep improving with ceramics, and that is exactly what I am trying to do.

How I started with ceramics |
I started with ceramics in high school by taking it as an elective and fell in love with it!

What inspires me |
Simple forms with complex glazes. I love looking at social media accounts and getting inspired to make something with my own twist!

What I'm working on at the moment |
Bowls, mugs, and planters mostly. All done on the wheel. I am trying to hone in some different shape skills to hopefully one day create an amazing level of consistency.
