HI Carole, thank you for asking. The eye is an element which I use a lot in my work, both in my ceramics and in my drawings. The eye is the mirror of the soul, the eye with the tear is sadness and the hand is a caring hand. The eye can also symbolize vigilance, God’s eye, the eye that sees everything and watches over humanity. Or just the feeling that somebody is watching out for you.
