About Me
Introduction | I am a potter working in Regina, Saskatchewan. I consider myself a cultural worker. Clay has been central to my existence for over 35 years. I make pieces that speak to our everyday existence inspired by the world outside. |
What I Love about Ceramics | I love the process of starting with a malleable material and taking it through the cycle of change from clay to a ceramic piece. There is always risk with clay, but that is what is exciting. |
How I started with ceramics | My first experience with clay was at the Extension Department, University of Regina in community classes.  I took classes there for a few years. It was a great community of potters . I fell in love with it there. Working as a studio assistant and then an instructor helped me to hone my craft. |
What inspires me | Nature is my biggest inspiration. |
What I'm working on at the moment | At the moment I am working on developing work using Cone 6 stoneware and porcelain, exploring more pared down surfaces and forms. |
