Gidday, I am Ri Van Veen from Australia. I create a variety of hand-built ceramic art from installation work to individual pieces, figurative to biomorphic and abstract sculptures to organic vessels. I am attracted to the endless possibilities that clay offers and the constant unexpected surprises the Kiln Goddess provides. I focus mostly on Raku and Pit/Saggar firings to provide the organic collaboration and blend of fire, oxygen and material.
